Managing Stress During the Holidays:  Ask a UCLA Doctor

Yet another holiday season is upon us.  Time for family reunions and fun.  And Stress.  Big League.

It’s UCLA to the rescue.  The featured speaker at Bruin Professionals’ next meeting on Tuesday, December 5 will be Dr. Jacob Gold, a primary care physician at UCLA Health’s Department of Internal Medicine.  A Los Angeles native who completed his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center before joining the UCLA Health Team, Dr. Gold will address the very real health risks we face from holiday-induced stress, and the coping strategies we can take to maintain our fitness and equilibrium.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Gold plays an active role in the expansion of the UCLA Health Enterprise and brand throughout Southern California, which he will also discuss along with his colleague and co-presenter, Jacqueline Folkert, Director of Marketing and Outreach for UCLA Health, Department of Medicine – Beverly Hills to Orange County. 

The meeting, which is open to all members of Bruin Professionals, as well as any UCLA alumni interested in learning about BP, starts at 7:30 AM, with the doors opening for coffee, bagels and more at 7:00 AM.
