Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City on Saturday, December 3rd 2022

Join us for a 5-6 mile trail hike in the heart of LA led by Stanford Outdoors club, Mark May. Members from the UCLA Latino Alumni, Stanford Latino Alumni, UC Berkeley LBSA Fund, UCLA ALMA and Bruin Professionals will also be joining the hike!

We will start in Culver City and ascend to the top of the famous Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. Hikers can choose to go up via the 282 stairs or a switchback trail. We will then follow the Park to Playa Trail across the new La Cienega pedestrian bridge for an exploration of Kenneth Hahn State Park. We will stop at the Stoneview Nature Center along the way. For most of the hike we will enjoy gorgeous views of the entire sweep of LA basin from Santa Monica to the San Gabriel Mountains and beyond. Elevation gain is approximately 750 feet.

Point of contact for the day of the hike: Cesar Pacheco, Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion: 559-800-6516

Meeting place - the corner of Duquesne Ave and Jefferson Blvd (at the signs that say Culver City Park, Bill Botts Field)
