Join BP Westwood for their monthly meeting! The Road to Electrification: Progress and Challenges
Meet the Speaker: After 30 years providing business valuation and expert testimony services to attorneys and entrepreneurs, Fred now focuses on teaching finance and accounting courses as well as advocating for clean energy adoption. He currently serves on the Mar Vista Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability Committee and the Energy Committee of the Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance. Fred has helped clients to value businesses in a wide range of industries, including manufacturers of “green” vehicles used in construction and entertainment. He earned his MBA degree at UCLA Anderson and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation. The Road to Electrification: Progress and Challenges LADWP is moving towards clean electricity generation, but will customers keep up by electrifying their homes, businesses and vehicles? To fully electrify, gas stoves, ovens, water heaters, washing machines, dryers and more will need to be replaced. New purchases of electric cars and light trucks have been steadily increasing but cost and access to charging remain obstacles. This presentation will look at programs that encourage electrification as well as challenges along the way. Forecasts and goals for electrification will also be addressed. Bagels & coffee will be provided.
