Meet the speaker:
Lon Isaacson

Lon recently presented to the BP Century City Chapter meeting his dramatic experiences in being a lead plaintiff attorney in the lawsuit that led to a record settlement with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after decades of hiding sexual abuse. But Lon’s career spans much more than that.  Lon spent 40 years representing plaintiffs as a UCLA Law School graduate in a vast array of fascinating cases.  In addition to giving us some more insights into the Archdiocese case, Lon promises to let us into the court house chambers where he will detail some of the bizarre cases he worked on and even more bizarre people he represented. The stories will be of how he found tools within the legal framework of litigation to get court decisions and settlements that most attorneys would have predicted as having no chance before Lon started to work his incredible skills.

Lon, now retired, is aged 74 years. He grew up in a suburb of Chicago, attended Northwestern Military Academy as a teen, graduating Valedictorian. He then matriculated to Lawrence University in Wisconsin, which led him to the UCLA School of Law. He then spent his working career as an attorney in Los Angeles, handling cases in various fields, such as bankruptcy, tax law and plaintiff injury. After retiring, he turned his passion to working in Los Angeles real estate as an owner of residential apartment buildings.
