About the Speakers

Jeff Stern is a Banker in the Orange County office of J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. He is responsible for advising clients on a range of personal wealth management matters including portfolio construction, asset allocation, credit solutions, retirement planning, charitable giving, and banking services. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Jeff worked for Pacific Investment Management Company in New York and Newport Beach where he advised regional banks and leading insurance companies on investment solutions. Jeff received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California Los Angeles and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he served as Director of Private Wealth Management. He holds series 7, 63, and 65 certifications.

Laine Ainsworth holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification and has been an investment professional for over 25 years. Prior to joining Beacon Pointe Wealth Advisors, Laine was a Founding Principal of Wealth Management Network, LLC. Laine is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Circle for the University of California at Irvine Paul Merage School of Business and is a Founding Executive Committee Member of the Center for Investment and Wealth Management at UC Irvine.  He is presently a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Orange County and has served on the Board of Directors of CASA Orange County.  A California native, Laine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
