“High Anxiety”: How To Manage The Virus of Fear (Let’s Flatten the Curve)

Rates of anxiety, depression and unhealthy coping habits have sky rocketed during this pandemic and lockdown.  Our fight or flight stress response is only supposed to be flipped on for short bursts of life or death survival.  For many of us it has gotten stuck in the “on” position.

Dr. Mojas is going to offer practical skills to help effectively calm our nervous systems and improve our ability to emotionally regulate ourselves, our clients and our family members.  These techniques are based on the latest mind/body science and are easy to learn and highly effective.

 About the Speaker

Dr. Kathleen Mojas is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience, in her Beverly Hills and Redondo Beach practices, working with evidence based mind-body techniques to heal trauma in the area of relationships, depression, anxiety and emotional intelligence

She is trained in several cutting edge therapies, such as EMDR, EFT, RRT and Somatic Experiencing.  All of these therapies are based on the understanding that human beings have an innate ability to overcome the effects of stress and trauma.  Over time unresolved trauma, limiting beliefs, resentments and stuck thought patterns cause dysregulation and dis-ease in our lives and our bodies.  The goal is to not only heal the symptoms and suffering but to restore a sense of wholeness and well being .

The skills and techniques that she teaches are aimed at building the kind of self regulation skills that increase resilience, humor, joy and healthier coping strategies.

Dr. Mojas has presented workshops on these subjects and appeared on numerous national talk and news shows.  In addition, she has contributed articles and quotes for publications ranging from Parenting Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and the Journal of couples Therapy.

We'll reschedule this event for later this year or early 2021.
