About the Speakers

Brian Ross is a business lawyer and former litigator who represents emerging and mid-stage companies in Internet, software, cannabis, hemp and other fast-moving industries.  Brian began his legal career at nationally-recognized law firms including Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp and Baker Hostetler.  He has served as in-house general counsel for three technology companies, with two Fortune 100 acquisitions.  Brian is currently a partner in the Los Angeles-based boutique law firm, Ross Legal.  He is a published author, frequent speaker, and among other recognitions, Brian was honored by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal with the 2019 Trusted Advisors Attorney of the Year Award.  

Maier N. Rosenberg, CPA, CGMA, is a Sr. Managing Director with CohnReznick.  He has more than 30 years of experience providing business advisory, accounting, and auditing services to privately held and public companies in the emerging and middle markets.  He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including cannabis, manufacturing, distribution, financial services, and professional services.  Within the cannabis industry, he has worked with private equity funds, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, of vape pens and extraction equipment, and retailers.  Maier co-leads the efforts of our Firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Industry Practice in Southern California and leads our Firm’s Cannabis Industry Practice in our Southwest Region.  In this capacity, Maier actively participates in target identification and analysis, financial due diligence and pre/post-merger integration and operational consulting.
