VIRTUAL NETWORKING IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING: CAN WE STILL CO NNECT?
This presentation directly addresse s the new world we are experiencing as Bruin Professionals members, and wha t we might face going forward. What is Zoom etiquette: should we eat or drink during Zoom meetings, what i s ideal background and lighting, and is it acceptable to multi-task? BP Minis, which used to be done with meals or drinks, are different now. span>Who should facilitate them, how long should they be, and what is the b est way to end them? Body langu age will be considered, as well as appropriate attire for Zoom meetings and how we might deal with “hybrid” meetings when conference rooms limit in pe rson attendees. We are in a new world, with no assurances that we will return to the way things were befor e. Other basic networking skill s like elevator speeches and testimonials will also be addressed in light o f the virtual world we all live in. span>Attendees will be given concrete skills and behaviors that will improv e our abilities to connect and be successful in BP.
