Remember that time when your gas l ight came on and you told yourself "I still have a few more miles" then you wound up stranded somewhere? Didn't it take you much longer, maybe even ha rder, to get what you needed to be done? Versus taking a quick break to fil l up your tank?
Join Life & Resilien ce Coach Lucy Tseng at our BP Pasadena meeting for a session on how to reco gnize when your "life light" has turned on and learn tips on how to refill your tank. The more you practice keeping your tank filled, the better you g et at avoiding burnout.
About the Speak er
Lucy was born and raised in L os Angeles and takes pride in being a native Angeleno. In 2012, she gradua ted from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Asian American Studies, and Education Studies. At UCL A as a student, she was involved with several campus organizations includin g UCLA UniCamp, Pediatric AIDS Coalition, and served as a Resident Assistan t for the Office of Residential Life. In 2014, Lucy graduated from the Univ ersity of San Francisco (Southern CA campus) with a Master’s Degree in Spor t Management. Her master's thesis was focused on building a program to incl ude life skills and development training for student-athletes.
Shortly after grad school, Lucy was recr uited to work for Environmental Charter Schools (ECS), where she learned a great deal about the world of business development. After two years of bein g hands-on with almost every project at this growing charter school network , Lucy returned to her alma mater to contribute through the development tea m. To this day, she is a very active alumna and staff member. In July 2020, she was appointed as a Staff Advisor to the UC Board of Regents by President Janet Napolitano.
Lucy's breadth of experience has helped her discover her passion: being a resource to all people. More specifically, her purpose in life is to inspire and support others in finding, pursuing, and living their own passions and purpose.
Outside of working at UCLA and pursuing her passion as a Coach , Lucy is involved with several nonprofit organizations including NextLA ( formerly known as Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce) , Rotary International, and Delta Sigma Pi International Business Fraternity. She is curre ntly an active member of the Ready to Learn planning committee, which helps organize NextLA’s program for volunteers to read with local 1st graders on a monthly basis. Lucy also enjoys staying active and spending time with lo ved ones, including her furry children named @Tunechi_Kobe. p>
