About the Speaker
Dr. Kathleen Mojas is a lic ensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience, in her Beverly H ills and Redondo Beach practices, working with evidence based mind-body tec hniques to heal trauma in the area of relationships, depression, anxiety an d emotional intelligence
She is trained in several cutting edge thera pies, such as EMDR, EFT, RRT and Somatic Experiencing. All of these therap ies are based on the understanding that human beings have an innate ability to overcome the effects of stress and trauma. Over time unresolved trauma , limiting beliefs, resentments and stuck thought patterns cause dysregulat ion and dis-ease in our lives and our bodies. The goal is to not only heal the symptoms and suffering but to restore a sense of wholeness and well be ing .
The skills and techniques that she teaches are aimed at buildin g the kind of self regulation skills that increase resilience, humor, joy a nd healthier coping strategies.
Dr. Mojas has presented workshops on these subjects and appeared on numerous national talk and news shows. In a ddition, she has contributed articles and quotes for publications ranging f rom Parenting Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and the Journal of couples Th erapy.
