Meet the speaker:
Susan Francia
Susan Francia is an Olympic gold medalist and biotech executive. A two-time Olympic champion and five-time World Champion with the USA Women’s Eight, she brings a high-performance, execution-driven mindset to life sciences leadership. She trained for 10 years with the U.S. National Team at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, and has been based in San Diego, California, since the 2012 Olympics in London.
She holds a BA and MS from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from UCLA, and has led business development and strategy initiatives in biotech. Susan currently leads Repeat Therapeutics’ efforts to develop first-in-human therapies for ALS. She is the daughter of Nobel laureate Dr. Katalin Karikó.
