Bruin Professionals'

Kyra Goldfarb
Legacy Scholarship Fund

Honoring the far too short life of BP member Scott Goldfarb’s teenage daughter, Kyra, our third BP scholarship endowment fund will honor her legacy.

Kyra was 15 years old when she passed away from a rare form of leukemia on July 11, 2025, one month shy of her 16th birthday. Though her time with us was cut short, she left an indelible mark on her family and friends.

A creative soul, she spent her free time crafting, crocheting, and reading. Since she was 10 years old, she averaged reading one book per week. As artistic as she was, she also excelled in math and science, with chemistry her favorite class.

Kyra was a straight-A student as a sophomore, scheduled to take 4 AP classes her junior year. Her biggest passion was playing the flute in the marching band and vibraphone in indoor percussion.

These challenging, rewarding experiences created deep friendships. Her monthly “Task List” included “Give a gift to someone”, “Smile at a stranger”, “Go out of your comfort zone”, and “Do something you loved as a child.”

Kyra’s impact and inspiration will extend far beyond her time on earth.

JOIN US TO HONOR HER MEMORY

To make the most impact with your pledges/donations, please commit during the week of Nov 2-9, as UCLA is leading the campus wide “Blue and Gold Challenge” to support alumni scholarships. Our Bruin Professionals Kyra Goldfarb Legacy Scholarship endowment will be in loving memory of Scott Goldfarb’s 15-year-old daughter, who unexpectedly passed away from a rare form of leukemia. By reaching our goal of $150,000, we will establish an everlasting legacy for Kyra and her family to award a deserving Bruin scholar who shares in her passion for the love of arts.
