About the event

Join BP Glendale Chapter on their monthly meeting!

I'll be sharing the vision behind the newly launched UCLA Anderson Center for Healthcare Innovation, our strategic initiatives, and how we're building partnerships with organizations across industries to address healthcare's most pressing challenges. I'll also discuss opportunities to collaborate with the Center through research, innovation, and industry engagement

Meet the speaker:

Jodie Lesh

In October 2025, Jodie Lesh returned to UCLA Anderson as the inaugural Executive Director of the UCLA Anderson Center for Healthcare Innovation. In this role, she leads the development and execution of the Center’s strategic plan, builds partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, and drives innovation at the intersection of business, technology, and health. The UCLA Anderson Center for Healthcare Innovation—working in collaboration with partners across UCLA and the broader healthcare industry—aims to harness expertise, research, and innovation to create transformative solutions that improve health and well-being. The Center is committed to educating the next generation of leaders and equipping experienced professionals with cutting-edge insights and applied research to accelerate meaningful industry transformation and inform critical policy decisions.

Prior to returning to Anderson, Ms. Lesh was a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Life Sciences and Health Care practice where she focused on care delivery innovation, business model design, and enterprise-scale transformation. She played a key leadership role in activating Deloitte’s Future of Health vision, centered on empowered consumers and systems powered by data and the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence. Ms. Lesh architected Deloitte’s global collaboration with Sheba-ARC in Israel to advance clinical entrepreneurship and innovation worldwide, leading to the first U.S. partnership with a major academic medical center to launch a venture-building platform bringing transformative solutions to market.

Before joining Deloitte, Ms. Lesh served as Chief Transformation Officer at Kaiser Permanente where she led large-scale initiatives in care model innovation, consumer experience, digital engagement, and social innovation. She oversaw Kaiser Permanente’s $12 billion facilities capital program, directing the planning and design of 10 hospitals and over 60 outpatient facilities. She led the organization’s renowned Garfield Center for Innovation and human-centered design practice, launching the organization’s first company-wide innovation challenge, Challenge Possible. During her tenure, Ms. Lesh guided numerous transformative initiatives, including the design of the “hospital of the future,” hospital-at-home, Kaiser Permanente’s community health strategy, and the reimagined ambulatory care experience—recognized by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea. She received the George Halvorson Community Health Leadership Award for her work to improve the health of the communities Kaiser Permanente serves, including a transformative redevelopment project in Watts.

Ms. Lesh earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and her MBA from UCLA Anderson.
