Meet the speaker:

Jim Picker

Jim Picker graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics. Jim leveraged an illustrious career as a cook in The Treehouse campus cafeteria and as the manager of the concession stands at Pauley Pavilion in to a 30 year career in sales leadership with AT&T. His assignments with AT&T and affiliates included Technical Sales Director, Director of Global Sales, Women of SBC Mentorship, Leader of the SBC Global Sales Director Group and Advanced Sales and Technical Sales Certification Review Boards Evaluator.

Among his accomplishments were attainment of the highest level of technical sales certification in the company, numerous regional and national awards for sales excellence and certification by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals as a Certified Data Processor.

Jim has served as an evaluator in the UCLA Economics in Action program. After retiring from AT&T Jim joined Top Speed Data Communications where he provides telecommunications, IT, and energy services sales and consulting to businesses.

Jim includes endurance sports among his hobbies. He has completed 16 Ironman Distance triathlons, seven 100 Hundred Mile running races and all 40 Los Angeles Marathons (Legacy Runner).
