Know, Like, Trust, Refer: A No‑Fluff Marketing System for Busy IT and Independent Consultants

  • Problem: “Most independent consultants and IT leaders rely on word‑of‑mouth, but don’t have a reliable system to generate right‑fit leads.”

  • Promise: “In 20 minutes, I’ll walk you through a stripped‑down version of the Duct Tape Marketing system you can use to get more ideal clients—even if you hate ‘doing marketing’.”

  • Proof: “This approach is built on the Duct Tape Marketing framework used worldwide by certified advisors to install holistic, repeatable marketing systems in small and midsize businesses.”

Tired of random acts of marketing? In this fast‑paced 20‑minute session, Duct Tape Marketing–certified consultant Clark Vautier will show you how to turn word‑of‑mouth into a simple, repeatable system. You’ll walk away with a marketing blueprint built around the ‘know‑like‑trust‑try‑buy‑repeat‑refer’ journey—so you can attract better clients without more hours or more hustle.

Meet the speaker:

Clark Vautier

I’m a New Zealand–born marketing consultant with over 20 years’ experience helping small and mid‑sized businesses break through growth plateaus through strategy, leadership development, and brand storytelling. My background spans stockbroking and banking in Australia and London, extensive international travel, and acting training in Los Angeles, which together sharpened my analytical skills, global perspective, and ability to communicate with clarity and impact.

I specialize in “strategy‑first” consulting: every engagement begins with a deep strategic audit, clear mission/vision/values, and an actionable marketing roadmap, followed by tailored advisory or implementation support. My work integrates marketing strategy, performance psychology, and leadership development so organizations can build systems that scale while staying authentically aligned with their values.

Outside of consulting, I’m an international mountaineer and former UCLA kayak instructor and adventure guide, experiences that have taught me resilience, preparation, and how to lead teams in uncertainty—skills I bring directly into my client work.
