Katy Chai

Katy Chai is the former (2024-2025) Orange County Chapter Leader of Bruin Professionals and the co-founder and leader of the Bruin Professionals Book Club. She works with couples and women to develop robust financial plans that support their goals and values. Katy specializes in guiding women through major life transitions—such as divorce, loss of a loved one, unexpected career change, and retirement—helping them make clear, sound financial decisions during times of heightened emotion and change. For her clients going through divorce, Katy provides the expertise for the financial aspects including complex assets, executive compensation, marital vs separate property, child and spousal support, pension valuation, tax optimization of settlements, and crafting creative settlements.
