Barbara will discuss mandatory and optional changes, as well as implementation dates (2022-2025) for many Secure 2.0 provisions affecting retirement plans, such as

-Changes to Required Minimum Distribution rules
-Provisions to increase participation and savings in retirement plans
-Added flexibility for penalty-free withdrawals
-Expansion of Roth provisions
-Simplification rules (not entirely)

Meet the Speaker:

Barbara is an independent consultant to retirement plan sponsors/Employers, Third Party Administrators and Financial Advisors to advise, design, implement strategies and assist in compliance and tax efficiency, as well as accumulation of wealth for retirement. She helps business owners maximize their own benefits with maximum efficiency and has been performing this role since 1999.

Prior to that, she was a Principal at Arthur Andersen and KPMG, and before that was a Vice President at The Prudential.
Her undergraduate degree is in Mathematics from Vassar, and she has an MBA in finance from UCLA Anderson.  She is also an Enrolled actuary under ERISA, the federal act that oversees qualified retirement plans of all types.
