Forensic Document Examination

Imagine you try to refinance your house only to learn your house is no longer titled to you. A document has been altered or forged. You sign a real estate sales contract with a client, yet the client denies signing the contract. In this interactive presentation you will learn the basics of forensic document examination or authentication of documents. You will learn practical techniques to determine whether a document is authentic.

About the Speaker

Mike Wakshull is a court-qualified forensic document examiner located in Temecula, CA. He applies his technical and science training to present a science-based approach to his opinions—a court requirement. He has worked cases from 26 states and 4 countries.

Mike has authored three books on the topic of forensic document examination. He has spoken at several international and local forensics conferences. He has presented to several legal conferences including the California District Attorneys Association and California Lawyers Association, in China and India.

Time will be set aside for attendee introductions, so using the video feature throughout the meeting is encouraged. Please watch the training and read the documents on the BP ZOOM Resource Center, so you are prepared for the meeting.
