Get the Inside Scoop of What it is Like to be a Reporter Today!

UCLA alum, Victoria Talbot, is an esteemed reporter and editor for the Beverly Hills Courier, a little newspaper in one of the world’s most iconic cities. Her reporting is not about fashion, lifestyle or celebrity. It is about the City…land-use issues, real estate, politics, events, the inner workings of the City government. Victoria will speak about her mission to get to the truth, no matter how controversial or uncomfortable the stories may be, even if they uncover scandals and result in the removal of City officials.

Speaker: Victoria Talbot, Reporter for the Beverly Hills Courier

Victoria Talbot grew up in Bel Air and Beverly Hills, attending Beverly Hills High School, followed by her undergraduate career at UCLA, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in History. Victoria served as Managing Editor for Westside Today, Speech Writer and Communications for the Governor of Hawaii, 11 Years at the Malibu Times, ghostwriter, campaign communications, opposition research, corporate communications, children’s books, Communications Director for the Hawaii State Senate Minority Leader.
